Today, science has confirmed the relationship between physical activity and health, with overwhelming evidence that people who lead active lifestyles are less likely to die early or experience major illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes and colon cancer.
Despite the obvious physical benefits of regular exercise, group exercise is an excellent team building tool, and can increase moral through employee interaction. Group sessions can be arranged either on or off-site, and can involve a variety of activities and exercise, once again based on requirements.
In conjunction with our Posture Assessments, we believe that specific exercise that is based on individual need is an essential message to endorse. This can be delivered in one-to-one meetings with employees, but is perhaps better presented in a group environment for greater interaction and learning. These sessions can also incorporate specific exercise topics, such as 'Core Stability' or abdominal and balance training in layman terms.
Exercise based on individual posture is essential to identify muscular imbalances, which cause particular muscles to be either tight or weak. Such a tool is also excellent in being proactive to injury. Many injuries could be prevented if this technique were adopted as the norm.
